The house has been adapted internally and extended to the rear; the result is a large light, open plan interior including a kitchen/dining area that opens out into the garden beyond. Also included in the extension is an integral garage.
The key in this case was to take every opportunity to let daylight into the building. This was achieved by combining a multi pitched roof with skylights; folding/sliding doors to the rear and a lantern rooflight to allow sunlight deep into the plan.
